Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician with approximately 3 years of professional experience in automotive diagnostics and repair. The role focuses on identifying complex technical faults, performing electronic and mechanical diagnostics, and supporting the workshop team with advanced troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic & Troubleshooting

• Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM and multi-brand diagnostic tools (e.g., Bosch, Hella Gutmann, OEM testers).

• Identify electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults across vehicle systems.

• Analyze error codes, test components, and interpret signals, data logs, and live values.

• Diagnose and repair ADAS systems, sensors, ECUs, CAN bus communication issues, and wiring faults.

Repair & Technical Support

• Support technicians with root-cause analysis and repair guidance.

• Conduct coding, programming, and calibrations for modules and control units.

• Perform repairs on components related to electronics, engine management, safety systems, and emissions.

• Assist with complex troubleshooting required by TÜV or warranty procedures.

Documentation & Reporting

• Document diagnostic steps and repair solutions in the workshop's digital system (DMS).

• Prepare reports for warranty claims and manufacturer requirements.

• Communicate findings clearly to service advisors and provide technical explanations as needed.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all work meets German workshop and TÜV standards.

• Follow safety regulations (UVV), PPE rules, and high-voltage handling requirements if applicable.

• Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and future reference.

Required Qualifications

• Completed training as Kfz-Mechatroniker (Automotive Mechatronics Technician) or equivalent.

• Approximately 3 years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic equipment, electrical systems, and vehicle electronics.

• Experience with coding, calibration, control unit diagnostics, or ADAS systems.

• Valid Class B driver's license.

• English proficiency; basic German skills (B1) preferred for workplace communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• High-voltage certification (Level 1–3) for hybrid/EV diagnostics.

• OEM-specific diagnostic training (BMW, Mercedes, VW/Audi, etc.).

• Experience with German workshop systems (e.g., VAS, ISTA, Xentry, ODIS).

• Strong IT and data interpretation skills.
