Overview

BIOWEG is looking for a Product Manager to lead and grow our ingredient portfolio for beauty and home care. In this role you will oversee product strategy, application science, regulatory readiness and scale-up coordination for our functional ingredient's portfolio and future product lines.

If you have product management experience in cosmetics, personal care or home care and enjoy working in a startup environment, this position offers the opportunity to shape BIOWEG's product roadmap.

Your Role

  • Define product vision, positioning and 12 to 24 month roadmaps for rheology modifiers, micropowders and new lines
  • Translate market needs from brand owners, ODMs and formulators into clear specifications, TDS, SDS, pack sizes and price corridors
  • Run VOC programs and map use cases and unmet needs to inform product priorities and claims
  • Prioritize cost, yield and performance improvements together with R&D and Operations
  • Define URS and acceptance criteria from lab to pilot to demo scale and own TDS, CoA and test protocol templates
  • Own regulatory readiness and claims substantiation for EU, UK and US markets and coordinate external testing where required
  • Build launch plans, sales enablement materials and sampling funnels to support Business Development and distributors
  • Lead demand planning, inventory and pack strategy and monitor COGS and margin performance
  • Attend trade shows and customer visits with the sales team

Your Profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in product management or application/technical marketing for ingredients in cosmetics, personal care, home care or adjacent specialty chemicals
  • Strong knowledge of formulation science (emulsions, surfactant systems, viscosity and rheology control and particle technology)
  • Comfortable interpreting lab data and rheology curves
  • Proven track record taking concepts to commercial launch, including specs, testing, claims and enablement
  • Working knowledge of EU cosmetic regulation EC 1223/2009, INCI/CosIng and awareness of microplastics restrictions and biodegradability testing
  • Data-driven and familiar with PLM, ERP and CRM tools
  • Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 22716, LCA metrics and ecolabel requirements is a plus
  • Builder mindset, rigorous on documentation and proactive in cross-functional alignment; comfortable in a fast-moving scale-up environment with FOAK processes
  • Excellent communication skills in English, German and French, both written and verbal
