About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Substation Expert to take ownership of the planning, approval, and implementation of substation projects up to 110 kV. Based in Berlin, this role plays a key part in supporting renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient, and timely delivery. You will act as the central point of contact for construction-related issues across the project lifecycle and work closely with technical teams, planners, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact in the construction project team for all construction-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support technical teams and external planners in the planning and approval of substations up to 110 kV.
  • Coordinate collaboration with general contractors and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and time objectives.
  • Act as client representative, overseeing the professional implementation of substation construction (including wind farm substations).
  • Select and manage service providers for preparatory measures (e.g., soil investigations, surveys, clearing, and access road construction).
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal construction guidelines and standards.
  • Develop practical technical solutions for challenges arising during project execution.
  • Lead the conception and implementation of additional technical services as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Energy Engineering with a focus on High-Voltage Technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in managing substation or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in handling technical and contractual project requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a cross-functional environment.
