Location: Cologne, Germany (Hybrid). This role requires a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the Cologne office. Occasional business travel will also be required.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented People Operations Assistant to support our full team member lifecycle, from onboarding and hiring to comprehensive personnel management and team support. This role is essential for maintaining smooth HR  administrative operations and ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and the active team members.
 

What You Will DoHRIS Management: Own the accuracy and integrity of all personnel data by responsibly adding, editing, and updating records within our core HRIS/HR tools.Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, issue, and track all standard documentation, including employment agreements, official letters, and policy acknowledgments.Global Compliance: Manage the initiation and tracking of HR compliance, e.g., required background checks, ensuring adherence to the specific legal requirements of each jurisdiction (country and state).New Hire Onboarding: Coordinate the logistical aspects of the new hire experience, including system access requests, gathering necessary paperwork, and assisting with welcoming activities.Offboarding Execution: Execute the comprehensive offboarding checklist, actively coordinating the timely retrieval of assets and system access termination with the IT and relevant departments.Other HR duties as assigned.
What You Will BringCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.Prefers 1-2 years of experience in an HR or recruiting administrative roleProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).Experience or strong familiarity with HRIS/ATS platformsA proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn quickly.Fluent, professional communication skills in English and German (both written and spoken).The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
