Project Buyer

As a Product Sourcing Manager at Advantest, you play a central role at the interface between Procurement, R&D, Product Engineering, and Project Management. You are responsible for both the strategic and operational sourcing throughout the entire product development process – from the initial concept to market introduction.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process within Procurement, from the first prototypes to series production, including active ramp-up management during the market launch phase
• Developing and implementing supply chain strategies in NPI projects
• Ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and on-time availability throughout the product development and introduction process
• Conducting proactive risk analysis and mitigation within the supply chain
• Coordinating and leading interdisciplinary project teams
• Communicating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across all organizational levels

Requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, project purchasing, or supply chain management
• Solid knowledge of electronics manufacturing; experience with V93000 products is a plus
• Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Experience in Cost Management, Cost Structure Analysis, Product Life Cycle Management and Supplier Development
• Strong project management skills and experience in managing complex projects
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written); good German skills are beneficial
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and intercultural competence
• Willingness to travel max. 25%
