The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Huawei's Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Senior Electrical Expert in Low Voltage Apparatus  (m/f/d)

Your mission

• • Work with local and Headquarter team to identify and refine needs and formulate system requirements in low voltage power distributions application domains in Digital Power Business
  
  • Promote technology roadmap development in your technical domain for next generation products in Digital Power products such as in key low voltage components in DC and AC system
  
  • Execute the development of the breakthrough circuit breakers in low voltage area
  
  • Mentor less experienced staff members, Bring the team to overcome difficulties and overcome challenges
  
  

Your areas of expertise

• Essential: PhD or Master in the field of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering plus relevant work experience after the university degree
  • Extensive theoretical understanding of low voltage protection principles, fully understanding of key components like ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs or switchgears
  
  • Successful industrial experiences in the product development and release is desirable
  
  • Proven hand-on experiences on switchgear or breakers prototype building and verification
  
  • Proven capability for analysis, design, simulation & verification of key design parameters in actuators, arc chambers or contact system, PCB design, modulation techniques etc.
  
  • High level of self-reliance and an autonomous target-oriented work style, "can do" attitude, eager to learn new things and ready to think outside the box
  
  • Occasional travel related to ongoing projects
  
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, willingness to learn German, additional languages are a plus
