We are currently looking for a Head of Solution Architecture and Domain Transformation (m/w/d) to take a crucial role in steering our Client Delivery activities of our German core banking solution, ideally based in Munich or Frankfurt.

About the Team:

The Solution Architecture and Domain Transformation team sits within the Client Experience (CX) organization and serves as a strategic enabler for client success. The mission is to lead and be accountable for all aspects of architecting and design of robust, future-ready solutions for the Kordoba business domain. The team supports a wide range of business and technical change that may be focused on client implementations or internal information system-specific programs, involving development, enhancement and rollout of solutions, technology integration and/or infrastructure environment build-out. In addition, the team plays a key role in partnering with sales teams on prospect solution design, RFI/RFP responses and bid support.

Role Overview

As the Head of Solution Architecture and Domain Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our core banking and securities processing solutions. This is a leadership position responsible for defining and driving architectural strategy, ensuring that solutions are innovative, scalable, and aligned with both client and business objectives. You will lead a team of solution architects and domain specialists, guiding initiatives from concept through delivery while fostering collaboration across global teams and stakeholders. enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, ensuring architectural decisions support long-term business agility and regulatory compliance.

What you will be doing:

• Lead a team defining and evolving functional and technical architectures for client solutions in core banking and securities processing
• Lead company-wide domain transformation initiatives, aligning architecture with innovation and operational excellence.
• Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and best practices across the organization
• Act as a strategic advisor to clients' senior executives to align solution design with business objectives and client expectations
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and domain specialists, fostering growth, excellence and collaboration
• Resolve complex design challenges and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions
• Represent the architecture function in client engagements, including workshops and executive discussions

What you bring:

• Proven experience leading solution architecture and domain transformation and teams and initiatives
• Have worked in similar senior management positions within technology or financial services organizations
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives in a corporate group structure.
• Strong technical background in full-stack solution design and integration across complex environments
• Deep understanding of financial institutions' operational models, regulatory frameworks, and client expectations
• Experience across multiple European markets, with regional insights and cross-border collaboration capabilities
• Strategic leadership experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and German, bridging technical and business perspectives
• Willingness to travel to client sites in support of solution delivery and stakeholder engagement

Added bonus if you have:

• Management experience working for an automotive financial services organization
• Management experience working in retail & corporate banking
• Proven experience with IT governance, security architecture, and regulatory compliance in banking
• Familiarity with innovation frameworks such as Design Thinking and Agile methodologies
