Cognos Developer

Moderate discussions to drive agreement on system requirements and ensure that correct and clear business requirements are properly captured, documented, modelled and specified

• Gathering, documenting, aligning and managing the consistency of requirements for implementation of both IBM TM1 and Planning Analytics solutions and its integration into an IT application landscape

• Ensure appropriate level of functional product documentation (required for implementation, test, maintenance and support), e.g.: Business Use Cases, Business Rules, Domain Model in EA

• Verify quality and functionality during functional testing of requirements as part of the overall project testing strategy.

• Undertake Maintenance/bug fixing/adaptation/improvement of existing code (TM1, SQL), software and applications regarding the new requirements.

• Develop the technical design within existing application architecture at the component- or service level.

• Improve performance and security aspects of current architecture

• Implement features and change requests including requested analysis and design and coding activities and required documentation

• Create the necessary unit tests and component integration tests to ensure compliance with the specifications

• Implement DevOps activities in the product team to streamline development and operations

• Support post-implementation activities

• Participate in regular scrum/project meetings as required.

• 10+ years of experience in TM1 Planning projects and in-depth knowledge of TM1/Planning and Analytics and associated tools

• Experience with multidimensional databases, ideally IBM planning Analytics TM1 which includes development of rules, T1 processes and MDX statements

• Strong technical skills in TM1 and SQL

• Knowledge and experience in data, data modeling, data analytics, database, ETL and Software development

• DevOps knowledge and experience

• Very good customer handling and strong service organization orientation

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug production issues

• Experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum), team player attitude
