Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Risk Management - Aggregates team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Mathematician Risk Management.

You can look forward to

• Monitoring and management of catastrophe risks – such as cyber, terrorism, or natural disaster risks – through the assessment of exposure to these risks
• Development of internal IT applications within the department
• Preparation, updating, and further development of scenario analyses
• Advising our business units (including our international locations) on issues related to the identification and monitoring of aggregates, as well as capacity tracking and planning
• Regular reporting on all key figures required for risk measurement for the Hannover Re Group, its subsidiaries, and external requirements

You come equipped with

• Master's degree in (Business) or (Financial) Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field of study
• Initial professional experience through internships is desirable
• Advanced programming skills (e.g. Python and MATLAB) as well as knowledge of databases
• German and English at a business-fluent level
• Strong analytical thinking skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with clients
• An international mindset and willingness to travel occasionally
