The Role

We are looking for a 
Structural Engineer
 with approximately 
five years of professional experience
, specializing in 
steel and aluminium structure design and optimization
.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and optimizing structural systems for advanced solar-thermal and large-scale industrial energy plants. You will work closely with mechanical, thermal, and materials engineers to ensure 
structural integrity, cost efficiency, manufacturability, and long-term reliability
 of large-scale installations.

Key Responsibilities

·       Design and optimize 
foil, steel, and aluminium structures
 for solar and industrial applications

·       Perform 
structural analyses
 (static, dynamic, wind load, and thermal load) using simulation and FEM tools

·       Ensure compliance with 
international codes and standards
 (e.g. Eurocode, ASCE)

·       Collaborate with 
multidisciplinary teams
 to integrate structural designs into overall plant systems

·       Support 
manufacturing and assembly design reviews
 to enhance constructability and cost-effectiveness

·       Participate in 
prototype testing and validation
 activities

·       Prepare 
technical documentation, drawings, and reports
 for design review and approval

Qualifications

·       Degree in 
Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
 (or equivalent)

·       Around 
five years of experience
 in structural design, with a strong focus on 
steel and aluminium

·       Experience in 
tension systems
 (membrane structures, foils, and cables) is beneficial

·       Proficiency in 
FEM software
 (e.g. Sofistik, ANSYS, or equivalent)

·       Solid understanding of 
manufacturing methods and material behavior
 under mechanical and thermal stress

·       Basic 
coding or scripting experience
 (e.g. Python, MATLAB, or similar) for process automation or data evaluation is an advantage

·       Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work 
independently and collaboratively

·       Fluent in 
English
 (German is a plus)

·       Enthusiasm for
