 Westerman, Inc., an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. SUMMARY

Perform installation and testing of the instrumentation and electrical components of products using electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and knowledge. Also uses interpersonal skills along with solid technical documentation ability. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.

• Performs installation and testing of the instrumentation and electrical components of our products.
• Interpret engineering designs and drawings to develop field installations.
• Strict adherence to Westerman and customer safety protocols.
• Communicates accurately, concisely, and professionally.
• Applies critical thinking, complex problem solving, troubleshooting, and judgment skills.
• Strong inductive and deductive reasoning skills.
• Other duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 year experience.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics.
• Use of basic electrical test equipment required.
• Knowledge of electrical installation technical requirements in hazardous locations required.
• Communicate accurately, concisely and professionally.
• Strong inductive and deductive reasoning.
• Knowledge of fittings, termination, and conduit/wire routing for devices required.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics, P&ID, and basic wiring required.
• Multi-skilled technician with basic knowledge and competencies in production equipment, electrical. mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems
• Basic safety training required.
