The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EPC Procurement Manager to join our growing team in Cologne. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement process for all our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. You will play a key role in securing the best possible materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices, ensuring timely project delivery and cost optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for EPC projects, aligned with overall project timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying and pre-qualifying suppliers to bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and award.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Oversee the development and management of vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, building trust and collaborative partnerships.
  • Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Track and analyze procurement performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all company procurement policies and procedures, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in telecommunications procurement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction procurement, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing procurement for complex EPC projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best possible deals for the company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent command of the German language (fluency required).
