The Branch Head – Client Grant Processing Team leads and manages a high-performing team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of grant. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance with policy frameworks and a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and service quality.

• Strategic team leadership: Lead and manage a large team of Grant Processing Officers, fostering a positive and cohesive work culture. Provide strong direction, mentoring, and coaching to ensure individual and team performance aligns with organizational goals.
• People development: Build team resilience, engagement, and capability through regular check-ins and upskilling initiatives
• Operational oversight: Oversee end-to-end operations of grant application processing, assessments and approvals across multiple schemes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Compliance & Governance: Uphold robust internal controls and ensure all processes adhere to regulatory requirements, policy guidelines and audit standards
• Stakeholder collaboration: Engage and coordinate with policy owners to resolve issues and improve processing turnaround time
• Data analytics & Reporting: Monitor KPIs and processing metrics through regular reporting and dashboards. Leverage advanced excel functions to generate insights for decision-making and operational improvements
• Service recovery and risk management: Handle escalations and exceptional cases with tact, maintaining fairness and integrity in grant processing

Qualities We Value

• Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent in project management
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in grants administration, operations service delivery with at least 3 years in a team leadership or branch management role. Prior experience in overseeing public sector grants would be an advantage
• Proven track record in leading large operational teams (at least 10 staff), with strong people management and teambuilding capabilities
• Skilled in using Excel for reporting, analysis, and performance monitoring
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders
• Service-oriented, analytical, and adaptable in a dynamic, policy-driven environment
