Your role:

  • As Senior Back End Engineer (m/f/d) in our Product Team Cart, you develop fast, scalable and reliable services as well as modular and reusable components of the e-commerce platform
  • You build, deploy and operate your team's cloud native microservices in the production environment and foresee, identify and solve production issues
  • You solve system design challenges within your team and across team boundaries in a product centric environment
  • You closely collaborate with other Product Teams to deliver value to the end-user
  • You contribute to inner source and drive quality standards in the internal engineering community, provide and discuss innovative solution approaches and suggestions for improvement in the development

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed studies in Computer Science or (Business) Informatics or a comparable training e.g. as IT Specialist (m/f/d) with several years of professional work experience
  • At least 5 years of work experience as Back End Engineer (m/f/d) or Software Developer (m/f/d) with a background in design patterns and data structures
  • At least 5 years of work experience as Back End Engineer or Back End Developer (m/f/d) with a strong focus on data engineering (streaming pipelines, event-driven) and excellent knowledge in Cloud, ideally GCP
  • Experience in building scalable and reliable large-scale applications, deep knowledge in classical back end technologies (e.g. Java and Go)
  • Open-minded personality, comfortable working in a collaborative agile environment and very good knowledge of English; German is a plus
