As a Technical Sales Manager for Food Solutions (a Brenntag in-house production), you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, innovation, and excellence for Food & Nutrition across the DACH region. The position is to be filled as a home-based role, preferably in the Frankfurt region.

Your Role

As Technical Sales Manager – Food Solutions for the DACH region, you will:

  • Deliver gross profit sales aligned with Brenntag's Food Solutions growth strategy.
  • Promote the value-added sercives of our Food blended solutions in cooperation with our Innovation & Application Center across food segments such as Convenience, Meat, Beverage, Dairy, Ice Cream, Confectionery, and Bakery.
  • Drive regional sales of products manufactured at Brenntag sites in Italy, Austria, and Poland.
  • Build and manage a strong project pipeline to support regional growth targets.
  • Lead pricing, contract negotiations on first closings.
  • Identify new prospects and conduct development trials at customer sites when needed.
  • Execute sales campaigns and respond to digital marketing initiatives related to Food Solutions.
  • Represent Brenntag at trade shows and monitor customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, R&D, QA/QC, Supply Chain, and Sales colleagues across the region.
Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate who brings both technical expertise and commercial acumen:

  • Master's degree in food technology or food science; MBA in Business, Management, or Economics is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales / development within food systems or specialty ingredients. Manufacturer background as an advantage.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage operational tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in data analysis and decision-making.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft tools, Business Explorer, Qlik, Salesforce, SAP, and CRM/C4C.
  • Experience of working with and advise different stakeholders (e.g. senior leaders) while working with international and diverse teams
  • Good project management experience as well as experience in handling and controlling internal and external service providers/agencies.
  • Creativity and ability to proactively develop own ideas, be self motivated in delivering communication products and results.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in an effective manner, combined with strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Willing to travel across the DACH region for customer visits and industry events.
