Role Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified and self-starter
Senior
Accounting Manager
to take full ownership of our financial accounting. In this role, you will manage the
entire end-to-end accounting process
. You will act as the technical authority on
HGB/IFRS
, manage external tax advisors, and ensure the accuracy of the financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Accounting Operations

  • Responsibility:
    Manage the complete General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
  • Closing:
    Execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes (
    Monats- und Jahresabschlüsse
    ) strictly according to
    HGB
    (and IFRS where applicable).
  • Transaction Processing:
    Ensure all business transactions are booked accurately and on time.

2. Technical Governance & Compliance

  • External Management:
    Act as the primary liaison and manager for external service providers, including tax advisors, auditors, and payroll providers.
  • Consolidation:
    Handle intercompany reconciliations and prepare data for Group Consolidation.
  • Reporting Package:
    Prepare the monthly financial reporting package (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for the leadership team.

3. Process Optimization & Digitalization

  • Systems:
    Act as the "Super User" for the ERP system (e.g., DATEV for Germany business, LucaNet for consolidation, etc).
  • Efficiency:
    You are responsible for automating manual workflows to keep the workload manageable.
  • Cash Management:
    Oversee weekly payment runs and monitor liquidity.

Your Profile

  • Education / Professional Qualification:
  • Certified
    Wirtschaftsprüfer
    (German CPA),
    Steuerberater
    (Tax Advisor), or
    Geprüfter Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)
    with a strong academic background,
    OR
  • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance,
  • Experience:
  • 5–8+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally starting in an auditing
    firm followed by operational experience.
  • Experience in the German Homecare/healthcare business and/or technology businesses is a big plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of
    HGB
    is mandatory.
  • High proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Language:
    Fluency in
    German
    (C1/C2) and
    English
    (C1).
  • Soft Skills:
    A "hands-on" mentality - you are willing to dig into the details to fix data, but you can also present high-level strategy to the Board. Strong communication skills to challenge stakeholders constructively.
