The Opportunity

A leading entrepreneurial private equity investor
in Amsterdam
is seeking a high-calibre
Investment Manager
to support deal execution and portfolio value creation across the Benelux and DACH regions. The firm partners with management teams to scale mid-sized businesses through growth acceleration, operational improvements, and strategic transformation.

As an Investment Manager, you will take ownership across key parts of the investment lifecycle — from origination and evaluation through execution and hands-on portfolio support. This role is suited to someone with strong analytical capabilities, commercial judgment, and the ability to drive workstreams independently.
German fluency is essential
for direct interaction with DACH-based companies and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead core workstreams across sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, structuring, and execution of investments.
  • Develop and manage detailed financial models, valuations, and investment materials.
  • Conduct in-depth market, industry, and company analysis to identify attractive opportunities.
  • Work closely with portfolio company management teams to support strategic projects and value creation initiatives.
  • Prepare internal and board-level materials, monitor portfolio performance, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Support senior team members across origination, relationship management, and fundraising activities.
  • Mentor analysts and participate in internal knowledge development.

What We're Looking For

  • 4–7 years of experience
    in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills with the ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Solid commercial understanding of SME business models and operational value drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills in
    German and English
    with a detail-oriented, structured work approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and portfolio company executives.
  • Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.
