Freelance Content Creator - Babbel Integration Project (all genders)

Since its founding in 2007, the company has grown to become the market leader in app-based language learning. In total, Babbel offers 15 learning languages, from French to Indonesian. Professional courses are available via the Babbel website as well as for smartphones and tablets. At Babbel, more than 600 team members from over 50 different countries work hard to set standards for creating a new learning experience. Unique to Babbel, our team of language experts builds individual courses for each language pair.

About the Project

Babbel is building a blended learning model for BAMF-accredited integration courses (A1–B1). This model combines teacher-led instruction with structured digital self-study across multiple modes. 

We are now hiring expert content creators to translate didactical plans into high-quality, engaging digital learning activities.

About the Role

We are looking for detail-oriented (LMS) Content Creators who can take existing curriculum plans, activity specifications, and pedagogical guidelines and turn them into learner-ready digital activities.

This role is execution-heavy: you will support curriculum design, but the core of your role will be building, structuring, and producing activities within our LMS and potentially other learning modes (e.g. AI speaking coach).

Your work will directly contribute to the launch of Babbel's blended learning integration course in March 2026. This requires high-volume production at speed, so the ability to work efficiently, accurately, and with strong ownership is essential.

What You'll Do

• Build LMS-based activities (reading, listening, grammar, writing, vocab, quizzes, tasks) according to precise templates and didactical guidelines.
• Translate curriculum specifications into structured learning flows inside the LMS.
• Produce, edit, and upload content (text, micro-dialogues, scripts, prompts, audio placeholders).
• Ensure all activities meet CEFR A1–B1 learning objectives and BAMF expectations.
• Work closely with the Curriculum Manager to deliver weekly content packages.
• Maintain consistency in tone, level, and format across all created materials.
• Track production progress and deliver high-quality content on tight timelines.

What You'll Bring

• Essential: Experience designing or building content inside an LMS (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, LearnDash, Thinkific, proprietary systems).
• Experience creating digital learning activities (e.g., quizzes, dialogues, scaffolding tasks, microlearning practice).
• Strong ability to follow detailed templates, instructions, and structured workflows.
• Familiarity with CEFR levels, especially A1–B1.
• Excellent written German skills (C1+) and strong command of English.
• Ability to execute quickly and reliably, we need all A1–B1 content produced by March 2026.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience in adult language education or DaF/DaZ contexts.
• Experience creating content for integration courses (BAMF, telc, DTZ).
• Familiarity with AI-based content formats (prompts, scenario writing, conversation design).
