AI Engineer | DAX 40 | LLMs, RAG, NLP & Voice Agents | Cologne/Bonn (Hybrid)

AI Futures have been retained to appoint a AI Engineer for a €30bn+ DAX 40 organisation undergoing a large-scale transformation of its digital and AI capabilities. The company is building a next-generation AI platform, with a major focus on enterprise-wide conversational AI; including advanced NLP, voice-based assistants, and intelligent agentic systems.

This role sits at the heart of that transformation: designing and deploying AI systems that augment employees, automate knowledge workflows, and enable safer, more reliable decision-making at scale.

Hybrid:
2 days per week onsite in Cologne/Bonn

Package:
Up to €100k total package

The Role

  • Build and deploy LLM-based assistants, NLP applications, and voice-driven AI tools
  • Design RAG pipelines using vector stores for high-quality enterprise retrieval
  • Develop and refine agentic workflows to automate complex knowledge and support processes
  • Integrate optional Knowledge Graphs for semantic enrichment (nice to have, not required)
  • Collaborate with platform and MLOps teams to deploy robust, secure Azure-based solutions
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into scalable AI products

The Candidate

  • 3+ years in AI/ML engineering, Data Science, or applied NLP
  • Strong Python experience and familiarity with modern AI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and production-grade NLP systems
  • Experience with speech/voice technologies (ASR/TTS) is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable working in cloud environments
  • Languages: German (English a plus)
