Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on and strategic Senior Manager, DevOps to lead our DevOps function across hybrid cloud environments. You will be responsible for managing and evolving our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment strategies to ensure secure, fast, and reliable product releases. This role requires a strong leader with technical depth, a bias for automation, and a passion for operational excellence in a cloud-native and security-first environment.

• You will plan, provide resources for and direct activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost.
• You will cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms and behaviors.
• You will identify and analyze problems, plan tasks and solutions.
• You will provide guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
• You will plan and schedule daily tasks, use judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.
• You will coordinate activities with Product Management, Support and Engineering.
• You will scope and monitor infrastructure performance, capacity and cost.
• You will cooperate with, select and supervise external partners.
• You will drive technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and mentor a high-performing DevOps team.
• Define team goals, measure success, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, SRE, QA, and Product teams.

*Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure*

• Manage and optimize hybrid cloud infrastructure (AWS, OCI, on-prem).
• Lead infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and compliant cloud operations. CI/CD & Release Engineering
• Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Gitlabs, Argo CD, or similar.
• Ensure high-velocity, low-risk product deployments through automated testing, canary releases, blue/green deployments, etc.
• Collaborate with security teams to embed DevSecOps practices in the release process.
• Automation & Tooling
• Drive adoption of automation in infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
• Evaluate and implement tooling to increase productivity and system reliability.
• Monitoring, Logging & Incident Management
• Oversee implementation of observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes are in place.
• Governance & Compliance
• Support security and compliance efforts (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, Fedramp) through automated audit trails and hardened environments.
• Partner with the SecOps team to ensure infrastructure adheres to security best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of DevOps or SRE experience, with 3+ years in a management or leadership role.
• Deep expertise in managing hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud architectures.
• Deep understanding of cloud principles and carrier grade networking.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm), and CI/CD tooling.
• Solid experience in secure DevOps practices and deploying in regulated environments.
• Proven track record of leading high-impact teams and delivering scalable infrastructure solutions.
• High level of cost awareness and will bring in and support ideas to gain best possible cost efficiency
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with a global team in different time zones, diverse culture to support a 24x7 production environment
• Solid experience with Google and Microsoft office tools
