Recently, we've paired with one of Project A's newest seed-stage investments to build their Tech Team and are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) with extensive experience building scalable and robust software solutions in Python to join their Team.

In this role, you'll:
  • Design, develop, and optimize secure, reliable, and high-performance backend systems that form the core of our client's product
  • Collaborate with Product and Data teams to design, build, and deploy features that delight users and address real customer needs
  • Architect and implement large-scale, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using modern best practices
  • Build on cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS) to ensure a robust and scalable backend
  • Take ownership of DevOps pipelines to enhance deployment workflows, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Stay on top of technology trends and tools, ensuring our product evolves with customer demands

Current stack:

  • Cloud: AWS
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Data: Postgres, Neo4J
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes and Terraform
Your Profile
  • Backend Development Expertise: 5+ years of experience with a strong focus on Python development and designing robust backend systems.
  • Scalable Architecture: Proven track record of designing and building large-scale, high-performance web applications and cloud-based services.
  • Collaboration & Drive: Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.
  • Languages: Strong communication skills in English (German business fluency is preferred) 
  • Data Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with data pipelines, modeling, and analytics is a plus. Experience with Apache Airflow is an advantage.
  • DevOps Experience: Proficiency in containerized applications (e.g., Kubernetes) and a solid understanding of deployment pipelines and cloud platforms is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP and enterprise solutions is a plus
