Your responsibilities

Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

In this project the successful candidate is supposed to investigate the (strong) interaction between photons and two-dimensional materials such as graphene. A specific focus will be on light-matter interactions within chiral cavity and potential spontaneous time-reversal symmetry breaking of the material subsystem. The theoretical modelling will be done closely following experimental results. The obtained results are supposed to provide new avenues to tailor solid-state systems with the help of optical cavities.

Your profile

A university degree in a relevant field.

  • a master in physics

The project-specific qualifications include a solid background in one of the following fields:

  • solid-state or condensed matter physics
  • strongly correlated materials or quantum optics

We offer

  • Reliable remuneration based on wage agreements
  • Continuing education opportunities
  • University pensions
