PLC Programmer - Intralogistics (Siemens TIA Portal, SCL)

Location: close to Schwandorf, Bayern.

Full Time.

We are looking for a PLC Programmer to join our intralogistics customers engineering team. In this role, you will design, program, and commission automation systems for modern warehouses and material-handling solutions. This position involves working with advanced equipment such as storage systems across customer sites.

Your tasks could include:

  • Develop and modify PLC software using Siemens TIA Portal and SCL.
  • Commission and troubleshoot automated material-handling equipment on-site.
  • Integrate PLC systems with higher-level controls (WCS/WMS) and peripheral devices.
  • Perform system testing, diagnostics, and optimization to ensure reliable operation.
  • Produce technical documentation and support customers during start-up.

What do you bring to the role:

  • Strong experience programming Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal and SCL.
  • Background in intralogistics, industrial automation, or machine control.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and understand fieldbus/communication interfaces.
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to work independently on customer sites.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%, both domestic and international.
  • German and English fluency.
