H&P are partnered with a leading middle-market, sector agnostic private equity fund headquartered in Munich, focused on investing in and scaling platform businesses across tech, healthcare & business services within the DACH region.

The fund are seeking a Director to join its Portfolio / Value Creation Team in Munich. In this role you'll play a key part in driving strategic growth across a cross section of their portfolio companies, partnering directly with management teams and investment professionals to deliver performance uplifts.

This role is highly suited toward somebody already within a similar role within Private Equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with portfolio company C-Suite and other relevant stakeholders to design and execute value creation plans, focusing on revenue growth, operational efficiency, and digital transformation
  • Lead strategic initiatives. Some examples include: pricing optimization, go-to-market acceleration, supply chain improvements, or M&A integration
  • Work alongside investment professionals to identify operational value creation opportunities during due diligence and post-acquisition phases
  • Establish performance tracking frameworks and KPIs to monitor progress against strategic and financial targets
  • Support portfolio leadership in implementing best practices across finance, operations, and organizational design
  • Contribute to exit readiness through operational performance improvements, strategic repositioning, and preparation of key materials

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience, ideally from operational private equity
  • Proven track record of driving measurable operational and strategic improvements in portfolio or corporate environments
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with hands-on execution capabilities
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior management, boards, and investment professionals
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic private equity setting
  • Fluent in German, Fluent in English (non-negotiable)
  • Degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA preferred
