Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Campus & Ecosystem Events Manager based at The Delta Campus in Berlin.

As the leader responsible for The Delta Campus events, you will oversee the full spectrum of event-related activities, from planning and execution to strategy and operational procedures. Your primary mission will be to design and deliver innovative event formats that strengthen our campus ecosystem, foster meaningful connections, and position The Delta Campus as the vibrant epicentre of Berlin's startup and scale-up community.

This role requires a highly organised, creative, and business-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic environments. You will combine hands-on event management with strategic planning, sales, and ecosystem-building initiatives. With your passion for creating engaging experiences and driving member satisfaction, you will play a key role in shaping The Delta Campus culture and business impact.

Please note:

This is a full-time, 12-month contract position based on-site at The Delta Campus in Berlin. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, typically between 08:00 and 18:00, with flexibility required to support events, evening sessions, and occasional weekend programming.

Key Responsibilities

Ecosystem Programming & Strategy

  • Co-create a comprehensive Delta Ecosystem Programming blueprint, including vision, goals, and implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a holistic strategy for ecosystem events that aligns with The Delta Business Pillars and Campus Development.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable event formats that foster growth, engagement, and community building.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Organise and manage a wide range of events (online and offline), including ideation, logistics, vendor coordination, and execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members using event spaces, offering guidance and support to maximise satisfaction.
  • Develop and standardise procedures for campus and ecosystem events to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality execution.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of event processes for transparency, training, and knowledge sharing.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Develop and manage detailed budgets for campus and ecosystem events, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
  • Make strategic financial decisions to optimise resources and achieve program objectives.

Sales & Membership Engagement

  • Collaborate with the community and business development teams to identify new opportunities to monetise events and drive membership growth.
  • Engage with current and prospective members to tailor event solutions that meet their needs and enhance engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to expand the campus network.

Operational & Collaborative Responsibilities

  • Take a hands-on approach to support the smooth execution of all campus and ecosystem events.
  • Work closely with internal teams to integrate events into broader campus operations, marketing initiatives, and strategic objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating event performance, gathering feedback, and implementing enhancements for future events.

What you will need:

  • 4–6 years of experience in event management, community programming, hospitality, or a similar field, ideally with a focus on sales or revenue generation.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and scale events, with a track record of successful budget management.
  • Experience in developing and implementing event strategies and operational procedures.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with experience engaging members, partners, and vendors.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work creatively within a team while driving independent initiatives.
  • Language skills: Advanced German (C1) and fluent English.
