Responsibilities

Hines Immobilien GmbH is looking to strengthen its finance team at its Berlin office as soon as possible with a full-time Financial Controller (m/f/d).

  • Act as the interface between the external rent and financial accounting departments of the property managers and the respective investors
  • Review external monthly accounting data, annual financial statements, and variance analyses, including comments
  • Cash management/reporting
  • Act as the contact person for annual auditors and tax advisors (preparation and review of advance VAT returns and tax returns)
  • Assistance in the preparation and review of business plans
  • Support and contact person for the operational asset managers


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in (specify field of study) from an accredited institution preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting/controlling, preferably in the real estate industry or in tax consulting/auditing
  • Relevant experience in working with different accounting systems
  • Good IT skills in all common MS Office products
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Strong communication skills and a strong affinity for numbers
  • Initiative and organizational skills
