Security Incident Manager
Location: Frankfurt
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Security Incident Manager to lead the detection, response, and resolution of security incidents. This role is critical to minimising impact and strengthening the organisation's overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the response to security incidents and breaches.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and workflows.
- Monitor security alerts and perform thorough investigations to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams during incident handling.
- Ensure timely communication and reporting to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned to improve defences.
- Manage incident documentation and evidence for audits and legal purposes.
- Stay current on threat intelligence and evolving attack techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience in security incident response or cybersecurity operations.
- Strong knowledge of incident management frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with SIEM tools, forensic analysis, and threat hunting preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), CISSP, or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
