Are you passionate about simulation software, process modeling, and automation in industrial environments?
This is an opportunity to work for a renowned engineering organization supporting the digitalization of complex industrial systems through simulation, virtual commissioning, and training tools.
You'll join a cross-functional team driving forward custom simulation environments that combine process engineering, automation software, cloud deployment, and real-time modeling.
Your Role:
- Develop and implement process simulation models using MATLAB Simulink, including relevant toolboxes (e.g., Simscape, Simulink Coder)
- Build and maintain automation and SCADA interfaces, ideally with WinCC OA or similar platforms
- Work with P&ID diagrams, process schematics, and industrial automation architectures
- Execute and test simulation models across various environments – Linux, Windows Server, VMware, and cloud deployments (AWS)
- Deliver system commissioning and end-user training at customer sites (up to 20% travel)
- Collaborate with internal R&D teams to align virtual environments with real-world product ecosystems
Your Profile:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field
- 3+ years of experience in software development for simulation, automation, or process systems
- Expert in MATLAB Simulink and toolboxes like Simulink Coder, Simscape, or Stateflow
- Proficient in SCADA systems – ideally WinCC Open Architecture, but others welcome
- Confident working in Linux and Windows environments
- Solid programming/scripting in C/C++, bash, Python, or web technologies
- Familiar with cloud infrastructures, especially AWS-based simulation or deployment
- Excellent communication skills in English or German
- Independent, structured, and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20%) for project delivery and customer support
