YOUR MISSIONWe are seeking a Senior IT Buyer (m/f/d) to join Sastrify's Procurement team, dedicated to driving superior procurement outcomes and strategic value for our customers.
This role is focused on the strategic execution of procurement mandates. You will move beyond transactional buying to act as a deep subject matter expert and consultant, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing procurement processes that transform our clients' operational efficiency. You will leverage Sastrify's resources and benchmark database to advise on critical strategic changes, including tool consolidation, vendor negotiation strategy, and procurement process governance.

We are looking for a passionate SaaS procurement professional with expertise in the EU vendor landscape and a strong commercial mindset who can not only deliver commercial improvements, but also identify and maximize embedded value and strategic alignment within our customers' software portfolios.
You'll be working closely with Hani Mattar, our Head of Procurement.
What you'll do as our Senior IT Buyer (m/f/d)
- Proactively analyze customer spend, portfolio strategy, and procurement operating models to identify strategic gaps, drive greater efficiency, ensure optimal investment allocation, and enhance overall governance and compliance.
- Lead the complete SaaS procurement lifecycle, including conducting in-depth market research, providing data-driven recommendations, and finalizing the strategic acquisition of solutions on behalf of clients
- Lead negotiations with major SaaS vendors, securing optimal commercial terms, pricing, and robust legal and service level agreements
- Serve as the senior procurement expert to customer's Tech, Finance, and Procurement teams on complex SaaS topics, including multi-year contract structuring, licensing optimization, and strategic vendor consolidation roadmaps.
- Design and execute the implementation of agile SaaS procurement frameworks tailored to address specific customer inefficiencies.
- Act as a knowledge leader within the Sastrify Procurement team, rigorously documenting and sharing advanced SaaS knowledge internally and externally, including developing best practice playbooks and deep-dive vendor intelligence.
- You have a university degree in Business, Economics, IT, or a related field.
- You bring 5+ years of demonstrable, progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement Consulting within the European market. SaaS/IaaS specific experience is appreciated.
- Expertise in vendor negotiation is mandatory, with a proven history of successfully structuring and closing contracts with significant financial value.
- Strong ability to consult with and influence senior departmental stakeholders (C-Level Executives, Heads of Tech, Finance, Procurement) within client organizations, driving expert advice into actionable change.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, capable of using benchmark data and financial models to build compelling, strategic business cases.
- A resourceful and autonomous executor who thrives on owning complex strategic challenges from analysis through successful implementation.
- Outstanding professional proficiency in English is essential; proficiency in German or other major European languages is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to excel in a fully remote, fast-paced international scale-up environment.
- Build strong technical and market expertise in the high-growing SaaS market.
