Your Responsibilities

As Team Lead Sales Engineering, you are responsible for leading the Sales Engineering and Sales Support team. You oversee the entire quotation process, ensure standardization and quality assurance of customer proposals, and take over administrative tasks from the Sales Director. In addition, you work closely with the Sales Manager as a "solutions architect" on complex customer requests, and you implement configurators and tools to improve efficiency. You can switch effortlessly between operational details and strategic discussions with management and international teams.

Location: Koog aan de Zaan

Position in the organization: The role falls within the Sales division and reports directly to the Sales Director.

Team size: The Sales Engineers & Support team consists of 4 employees.

International connections: Due to the global structure of our group, there is regular coordination with international subsidiaries. Project work often takes place in intercultural teams.

Your Tasks:

  • Leading Sales Engineers and Commercial Support, including task allocation and coaching.
  • Managing and optimizing the quotation process and related standardization.
  • Providing technical substantiation of quotations for customer solutions, including layout, capacity, and interfaces.
  • Implementing and improving configurators and digital tools.
  • Coordinating international collaboration with Sales Managers and hubs.
  • Actively contributing to process improvements and quality assurance.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (HBO/WO level), preferably in Industrial Engineering & Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration with a technical affinity.
  • 5–8 years of experience in a commercial or technical environment, preferably international, with leadership experience.
  • Experience with quotations, configuration tools, ERP/CRM systems, and technical drawings.
  • Strong leadership qualities: coaching, connecting, and result-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
  • Customer-focused, process-oriented, and able to implement structure and standardization without losing sight of the customer experience.
