Your BIG Challenge as our Supplier Quality Assurance Manager Packaging

As our Supplier Quality Assurance Manager Packaging, you'll oversee different types of packaging materials, ensuring they meet the highest standards for quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. You'll manage the entire vendor lifecycle, from risk assessments and supplier onboarding to audits and ongoing supplier development. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our suppliers meet Intersnack's rigorous quality standards while maintaining strong relationships and driving continuous improvements across our packaging categories.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing packaging materials and ensuring compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Building strong, long-lasting relationships with suppliers, focusing on performance improvements.
• Conducting supplier audits and resolving non-conformities through corrective action plans.
• Managing relationships with our factories to handle and resolve quality and food safety issues to reduce complaint levels.
• Reviewing lab and chemical reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborating closely with procurement and category teams to improve packaging quality and supply chain efficiency.

Besides the above, we ask:

• A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Packaging Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or similar field.
• At least 4 years of experience in either quality assurance, auditing, vendor management, (ideally in the FMCG and/or food industry) or packaging technology.
• A hands-on approach to managing suppliers, conducting audits, and resolving non-conformities.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and GFSI schemes (BRC/IFS/FSSC
• Preferably qualified lead auditor or proven experience in quality auditing, with attention to detail.
• Experienced in conflict management, project management knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Flexibility to frequent travel internationally, mostly within Europe.
• Fluent in English; German or Dutch is a plus.
