We are looking for a Team Lead Category Management to join our Commercial team at rebuy. As the Team Lead for Consumer Electronics, you will take ownership of one of our key business areas — leading a team of category managers while managing a category yourself. This position reports directly to the Head of Consumer Electronics.

In this position, you'll guide and develop the existing Consumer Electronics category management team, shaping strategies that optimize assortment, pricing, and marketing performance. You'll enhance operational processes, expand analytical capabilities, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration between different departments.

Key Responsibilities:

In the role as a Team Lead:

  • Lead and mentor a team of category managers within the Consumer Electronics segment, fostering collaboration, ownership, and continuous growth

  • Report directly to the Head of Consumer Electronics, ensuring strategic alignment and clear communication across the business

  • Monitor category performance in partnership with your team, defining and implementing actions to optimize results

  • Design, implement, and standardize processes and tools to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making

  • Act as a sparring partner for your team on strategic topics, market challenges, and high-impact business opportunities

  • Drive and manage cross-departmental projects aimed at improving category performance and customer experience

  • Develop your team's capabilities through structured coaching, skill-building initiatives, and goal alignment

In the role as a Category Manager:

  • Manage a CE category independently, overseeing its commercial strategy and daily operations

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Consumer Electronics to ensure alignment with broader business and commercial objectives

  • Analyze sales, pricing, and purchasing performance to identify growth and profitability opportunities

  • Define and optimize product assortments based on customer segments, performance data, and competitor activity

  • Set and adjust pricing and purchasing strategies to meet revenue, margin, and stock targets

  • Collaborate with Marketing on sales campaigns, promotions, and paid marketing initiatives

  • Support B2B purchasing negotiations and deal execution to secure optimal terms and inventory mix

  • Stay up to date with market trends, ensuring rebuy remains competitive and aligned with customer needs

Job requirements
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in category management, business consulting, finance, analytics, or pricing — preferably in e-commerce or marketplace environments

  • 1–2 years of leadership experience, with proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with confidence in handling data and drawing actionable insights

  • Solid understanding of key P&L drivers in an e-commerce setting

  • Proven project management experience, including cross-functional collaboration and process optimization

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders

  • High commercial acumen, structured approach, and reliability — even under pressure

  • Fluent in English; German or another European language is a plus

    Preferred

  • Experience with pricing algorithms, re-order logic, or revenue management systems

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)

  • Understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics and e-commerce ecosystems
