You are to take ownership of our infrastructure operations, best practices, and compliance automation. 

Stack

Responsibilities

• Ensure our existing, production-grade infrastructure runs securely, reliably, and cost-effectively through continuous improvement.
• Define and enforce infrastructure best practices — product teams own their infra, you provide the standards, tooling, and guardrails.
• Lead and evolve DevOps processes to make them consistent and scalable.
• Own compliance automation & technical security (ISO, C5) — automate wherever possible (e.g. threat & vulnerability updates, event monitoring).
• Support product teams by making infra easy, safe, and efficient to use.
• Contribute actively to our AI-driven transformation.

A typical day at damedic

09:00 – You start the day by checking our monitoring dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana). You spot a few opportunities to reduce noise in the alerts and adjust configurations to make them more actionable.
10:00 – In the standup with product teams, you give a short update on recent AWS cost optimizations. You also clarify a couple of open questions about Terraform modules that teams are integrating into their pipelines.
11:00 – You run a quick security review: an automated scan flagged an outdated package in a Lambda function. You assess the impact, plan an update, and adjust the process so that similar patches are automated in the future.
12:00 – In a sync with the Head of Engineering and a product team, you review the status of ISO/C5-related checks. You present ideas on how to introduce new compliance automations (e.g. event monitoring, vulnerability updates) without slowing developers down.
14:00 – Deep work: you improve our Terraform modules so teams can roll out their infrastructure more easily and consistently. Along the way, you document best practices for secure EKS configuration.
16:00 – In a pairing session with a developer, you help secure an S3 bucket following best practices. You also explain how to enforce these checks automatically in the future.
17:30 – You wrap up the day by updating compliance dashboards, documenting today's learnings, and kicking off an overnight cost report. You close your laptop knowing our infra is running stable, secure, and efficient.

Your profile

• Deep expertise in Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), observability (Prometheus, Grafana), and automation.
• Strong background in distributed systems and architecture.
• Strong communication and leadership skills — you'll be the point person for infra and security best practices.
• Enthusiasm for AI and automation.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on compliance automation experience (ISO, C5).
• Experience with Airflow.
• Familiarity with Vanta or similar tools.
