Laboratory Technician

Location: Münster, Germany

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Next-generation Sequencing laboratory. The successful candidate will support molecular biology experiments including nucleic acid extraction, quantification, NGS library preparation, and quality control. This role provides an opportunity to work with advanced sequencing technologies in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform DNA and RNA extraction from a variety of biological samples

· Measure and assess nucleic acid quality and quantity using Qubit, NanoDrop, LabChip GX or similar instruments

· Conduct NGS library preparation and assist with whole genome sequencing workflows

· Execute QC procedures throughout sample processing and library construction

· Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure data integrity

· Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments as required

· Follow SOPs and adhere to laboratory safety and quality standards

· Support general lab operations, including reagent preparation and inventory control

· Assist with other essential laboratory tasks and operational support as required

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field); Master's degree preferred

· Hands-on experience in molecular biology or NGS-related laboratory work is highly desirable

· Experience with DNA/RNA extraction and Qubit/NanoDrop quantification methods preferred

· Experience with NGS library preparation, WGS workflows, RNA-Seq workflows or QC processes is a strong plus

· Experience with Novaseq6000 workflow is a strong plus

· Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

· Fluent English skills in writing and speaking is highly desiderable
