For our client
- a leading German strategy and management consultancy driving digital transformation and innovation – we are looking for an Senior Network Administrator (m/f/d) to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full technical ownership of network administration (Fortinet products: FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiMail)
  • Operate and further develop our hybrid IT infrastructure (on-premises & cloud), including firewalls, switches, routing, SD-WAN, VPN, and WLAN
  • Drive the expansion of open-source solutions such as Nextcloud, TrueNAS, LAMP/LEMP, WAZUH, and Proxmox VE
  • Lead and support IT projects, including rollouts, migrations, and subprojects
  • Analyze and resolve IT security incidents and continuously improve security concepts
  • Provide 2nd-level support for internal users and ensure smooth IT operations
  • Contribute to projects balancing M365 integration with open-source technologies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience administering complex IT environments
  • Degree in Computer Science, completed IT specialist training (system integration), or equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Fortinet products, switching, routing, VLAN, and firewall administration
  • Hands-on experience with Proxmox VE, Veeam, and Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Checkmk, FortiAnalyzer)
  • Proven project management experience, ideally including M&A projects
  • Fluent German (written and spoken)
