Avionics Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Our Avionics Team is searching for a motivated person to work as Avionics Development Engineer (m/f/d). You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Then apply for us.

Your Tasks

  • Define, simulate, and review the safety-critical electronic hardware according to requirement specification
  • Specification and support of system validation and verification according to acceptable means of compliance
  • Verify various system and subsystem level designs and the integrations between them
  • Analysis of system requirements based on ECSS and generate subsystem requirements
  • Close cooperation with other disciplines

Your Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant experience (2 – 5 years) for aerospace, automotive or high reliability systems and motivation to participate in the NEW Space
  • You're disciplined with documentation and understand the value of configuration control, traceability, and design reviews
  • You thrive in an environment where autonomy, accountability, and high standards are expected
  • A good understanding of interconnecting avionics components and their dependencies, including the requirements and limitations imposed by mission definition and design.
  • A good understanding of Electronic hardware designs
  • Ability to review design schematics
  • Knowledge on electromechanical actuators is a plus
  • Knowledge on Altium Designer is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively and independently
  • Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with electrical load analysis and power distribution sizing
  • Bonus: Working knowledge of relevant environmental tests and qualification standards (e.g., ECSS, MIL-STD-810, DO-160)
