Your Tasks

  • Requirements analysis: You analyse the needs of customers, users and application areas in order to define functional product specifications.
  • Product development: You drive the technical development of the existing product portfolio and work closely with research institutes and manufacturers of packaging production machinery.
  • Technical support: You provide ongoing support for the use of our products and take care of solving technical problems – including updates and patches.
  • Documentation: You coordinate the creation and further development of product data sheets and technical sales arguments for use in marketing materials.
  • Performance optimisation: You monitor the performance of our applications and implement continuous improvements. You translate feedback on product quality and performance into technical specifications and coordinate these with the production plants.
  • Knowledge transfer: You train sales teams, customers and end users in the use of WEPA products.
  • Teamwork: You will work closely with the fibre technology and quality assurance departments to meet the requirements of current and future applications.
  • Innovation: You have strong innovative skills and a proven track record in developing new applications for materials.
  • Market and business development: You are able to translate technical insights into market-relevant solutions. You work closely with sales, marketing and customers to identify new, profitable areas of application for DIP and JR.

Your Profile

  • Qualifications: You have a degree in paper or fibre technology, packaging technology, process engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience and Know-how:

  • You have experience in the areas of pulp/paper, fibre moulded packaging and/or functional barrier coatings for paper and cardboard.

  • You have knowledge of product development, application technology or a comparable technical function. Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and practical implementation are among your strengths.
  • You have a sound chemical understanding of polymers, binders and coatings.

  • Languages: You have a very good command of written and spoken English – knowledge of German and French is an advantage.

  • Personality: You are enthusiastic about innovative product ideas and customer-oriented solutions. You are a strong communicator and excel at interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Working: You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and show a high degree of initiative. You can communicate complex topics in an understandable way and implement them in a practical manner.
