For one of our clients are looking for an experienced
Embedded Software Engineer
with strong expertise in
Android OS development and board bring-up
to support the launch of the new hardware platform based on the
NXP i.MX95
. We are looking for an expert to lead the process.

General conditions:

  • Key skills: porting Android to NXP i.MX95
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Location: 1 day per week onsite in Belgium, the rest is remote. If you live in another country and can move to Belgium for the duration of the project - 10 months - this will work too
  • Duration: 10 months
  • Contract: B2B via Mind (you have to be register as self-employed in the country of your residence)

What you will do:
You will lead the process of in bringing Android OS to life on to next-generation hardware, ensuring a stable, optimized, and production-ready system. Your main tasks will include:

  • Porting and running Android 16 on the NXP i.MX95 platform.
  • Adjusting and configuring the OS to meet hardware and product requirements.
  • Driver development and integration
  • Performing system-level debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure smooth integration.

Your experience:

  • Strong experience with Android OS internals, BSPs, and embedded platforms
  • Board bring up
  • Driver development and kernel-level work.
  • Familiarity with NXP i.MX family of processors (experience with i.MX95 is a big plus).
  • Strong skills in debugging low-level issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges.
