We at ControlExpert, the world's largest InsurTech helping motor insurers digitize, accelerate and automate claims are looking for remote Technical Team Lead based anywhere in Asia. 

You would be working alongside an amazing Team of Business Team who are based in Los Angeles, California. 

Responsibilities:


• Lead and manage a Team of Frontend, Backend, Fullstack and QA Engineers


• Able to grasp technical concepts quickly and distribute tasks to the Team


• Monitors the performance and quality of the Team


• Understands the trends in platform, application and mobile development and

knows when to apply learnings


• Clear record of having developed software applications before


• Track record of having managed a Team of Developers before


• Lead by example and practice thought leadership

Required Experience


• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of having developed software applications


• 3 + years in a professional senior technical management role


• 5 + years Agile / Scrum / Extreme development experience


• Excellent English language skills both verbally and in writing

Preferred


• Agile / SCRUM certifications desirable


• Insurance Platforms / Applications experience desirable


• Startup oriented / minded

Technical Skills & Knowledge


• Microsoft: ASP.NET/VB.NET/C#/Web APIs


• Frameworks: .NET, AngularJS, Jquery, React


• Web: HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, NodeJS, BootStrap, Java, Go, Python and

Ruby


• Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, Stored Procedure Development, Performance

Tuning


• ORM: Entity Framework / NHibernate


• Other: Mobile Development, SOA, Enterprise Service Bus, Application scalability


• Docker / Containers / Kubernetes experience desired


• .NET, IOS and Android Framework development techniques


• Experience in building and consuming RESTful service implementation and

Service Oriented Architecture


• Extensive experience in design and implementation of SaaS and Mobile based

software applications and multi-tier distributed platforms. Hands-on Experience

working in a multi-tenant cloud environment


• Hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling

Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for

scalability and performance.


• Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF

or the equivalent; designing architecture plans / patterns, employing solid

principals and


• Strong Agile software development leadership; continuous integration or even

more advanced continuous delivery concepts including test automation

strategies not only on functional level but also on the typical -ability

requirements like usability, stability, scalability and performance


• Deep understanding of enterprise / cloud platform and mobile application

designs


• Excellent people and verbal and written communication skills with an ability to

communicate with internal/external partners at all levels


• A great problem solver with ability to multitask and prioritize multiple incoming

requests
