Refractory Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Refractory Engineer to support and expand our refractory business in Germany. The candidate will be based in India but must be willing to travel to Germany regularly. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and commercial knowledge of refractories used in continuous casting and flow control such as Monoblock stoppers, ladle shrouds, Sub Entry Nozzles (SEN), and slide gates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support procurement activities in India.
• Identify new suppliers and ensure quality and proper testing of materials.
• Negotiate with suppliers and calibrate procurement strategies.
• Provide in-depth technical knowledge of refractory products, their production processes, and testing methods.
• Manage commercial aspects of refractory products, including pricing, procurement, and supplier negotiations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in refractory (flow control and continuous casting).
• Strong knowledge of technical, production, and testing aspects of refractory products (Monoblock stoppers, ladle shrouds, SEN, slide gates).
• Strong understanding of commercial aspects, including pricing and supplier negotiations.
• Experience with reputable companies such as IFGL, RHI, Vesuvius, or similar is a plus.
