This is an on-site position based in Garching, Germany. Applicants must reside in Garching or a nearby area. Relocation is possible; however, all relocation costs will be the responsibility of the applicant.

About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and continuously improving our daily financial processes to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of all local accounting responsibilities and contribute directly to financial reporting and operations for both the German office and U.S. headquarters. You'll collaborate with a talented team to drive innovation and excellence, taking ownership of key responsibilities that directly contribute to our success.
 
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliationsSupport monthly and annual financial statement preparation in coordination with U.S. headquartersPrepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory reports (e.g., EC Sales List, Intrastat, OSS)Contribute to cash management, including weekly cash flow forecastsCollaborate with external tax advisors on tax returns, audits, and other compliance mattersEnsure accurate inventory valuation and proper accounting of stock levelsMaintain financial records in line with German commercial and tax law requirementsWork closely with the global finance team on international projects and continuous improvement efforts What We're Looking For:
Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
Degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, or Tax focus), or equivalent qualifications like Bilanzbuchhalter or SteuerfachwirtAt least two years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or product-based settingStrong understanding of German accounting standards; US GAAP knowledge is a plusExperience with ERP systems, preferably Syteline or other Infor platformsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointFluent in German and English at a business levelOrganized and detail-oriented with strong time and project management skillsTech-savvy with a solution-focused mindsetFamiliarity with the bicycle industry or cycling culture is a bonus
