Site-based, 12 hours/day, 6 days/week (Sundays off)

Role Overview:

We are working with a client seeking a German-speaking E&I Engineer to join their construction project near Hamburg on an initial 6-month contract, seeing the project through from commissioning to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on site, providing technical support to ensure smooth project execution.

This is a hands-on, site-based role, and fluency in German is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop pre-commissioning test procedures.
  • Coordinate pre-commissioning activities:
  • Address any issues with the engineering team.
  • Coordinate with vendors.
  • Maintain the pre-commissioning database.
  • Participate in commissioning activities.
  • Provide on-site operations assistance.
  • Develop a maintenance database for all equipment and create a maintenance plan.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Fluent in German (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in a lead or key engineering role on a construction project, ideally within a small team.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems.
  • Hands-on experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance planning.
  • Ability to work long site hours (12 hours/day, 6 days/week).
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently on site.
