Your mission

At Cloover, data is mission-critical. Every pipeline you build, every model you design, fuels the energy transition. To scale, we need to deliver reliable, auditable, and high-quality data to all our functions, with a focus on portfolio management, risk and underwriting, growth and sales, and product. Your work will enable us to:
  • Drive the development of our Data function: create and implement the data strategy
  • Lay foundations for data reliability by ensuring product data flows seamlessly from our transactional systems into a governed analytics environment.
  • Transform raw data into insights through well-structured models and pipelines.
  • Deliver product usage insights that guide better product design, feature adoption, and installer/customer experience.
  • Enable the finance team to act with confidence by providing timely dashboards and reports that support credit lines, investor relations, and compliance.
You won't just inherit systems, you'll lay the foundation of Cloover's data platform. This is your opportunity to shape how data flows, scales, and creates impact at a company driving the clean energy revolution.

What you'll do:
  • Work alongside our founders and our CTO to set the Cloover data strategy and build a team in a very dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Design and optimize models that power underwriting, risk, portfolio management, and reporting.
  • Own the data pipelines that move product and financial data into a governed, analytics-ready warehouse (BigQuery).
  • Build cloud-native data platforms that serve finance, compliance, product, and growth teams.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability across all domains, trusted by regulators, partners, and investors.
  • Create dashboards and reporting in Metabase that put insights in the hands of every team.


Your profile

Must-haves
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills (BigQuery a plus).
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT (or similar data modeling frameworks).
  • Experience working with financial datasets, specifically credit, where consumer credit and SME credit is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting related to loan portfolios.
  • Background in data warehousing, ELT pipelines, and data modeling.
  • Experience with cloud-native data platforms (GCP preferred).
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Metabase or similar).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD workflows and version control (Git).
  • Strong communication skills - you can translate between engineers, finance, and product teams.

  • Credit and risk models for portfolios os loans
  • Familiarity with bank reporting standards such as ESMA
