We offer Managed Detection & Response (MDR) through our signature solution, NovaMDR, helping German SMBs and critical infrastructure organizations stay protected from evolving cyber threats.

Now, we're looking for a freelance marketing specialist to join our small but ambitious marketing team in Nuremberg. You'll work closely with our Marketing Manager and be instrumental in growing our digital presence, running ad campaigns, optimising our web and SEO performance, and helping generate qualified leads.

We're looking for someone who's hands-on, curious, and thrives in a startup environment. Bring your ideas, your can-do attitude, and your eye for detail.

Role description:

As a Freelance Marketing Specialist, you will support and own parts of the following:

Paid Ads Management

  • Setup and management of Google & LinkedIn Ads campaigns
  • Defining target audiences and ad strategy
  • Writing compelling German ad copy
  • Providing creative direction for ad visuals
  • Creating and optimising landing pages (structure, UX, copy)
  • A/B testing and performance reporting
  • Implementing lead form integrations

SEO & Website Optimisation

  • Keyword research and topic ideation
  • Structuring content for SEO writers
  • On-page SEO & meta optimisation
  • Monitoring performance in Google Search Console
  • Collaborating with developers to fix crawl or speed issues
  • Updating website content and layouts in WordPress
  • Coordinating with our development team (via Upwork) for plugin updates and site backups
  • Monitoring bandwidth, storage, and performance via Wordpress Engine

Tracking & Analytics

  • Maintaining automated lead flows (Zapier monitoring)
  • Setting up custom events and conversions in Google Tag Manager
  • Ensuring proper pixel and event tracking

Content & Email Marketing

  • Blog topic research & article writing (or briefing writers)
  • Supporting nurture email stream strategy & content
  • Helping refine marketing materials in both German & English

Support for Ad Hoc Marketing tasks

  • Assisting with webinar planning & promotion
  • Creating visuals or briefing designers for new campaigns
  • Writing social media posts and email copy
  • Helping coordinate assets across teams (Sales, Product, etc.)

Skills required:

  • Native-level German (a must)
  • Good English communication skills
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Nuremberg
  • A proactive mindset and ability to work independently
  • Min. 1-2 years of experience within a B2B digital marketing role- ideally in tech, SaaS, or cybersecurity
  • Strong skills in at least 2 of the following: Paid Ads, SEO, WordPress, GTM, Copywriting
