Job Description

The Junior Software Engineer works as part of a development team to design, build, test, and maintain software solutions. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about coding and eager to grow their technical skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.

Under the guidance of senior engineers, the Junior Software Engineer will participate in all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) — including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The position provides a solid foundation for a long-term career in software engineering.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, and deploying software applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure system stability.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers to define and deliver high-quality features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and development standards.
  • Support testing processes, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to the project.
  • Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews.
  • Continuously learn and apply new programming concepts and techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience in software development (internship experience acceptable).
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or C++.
  • Familiarity with front-end or back-end frameworks (React, , .NET, Django, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, or GitLab).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic environment.
