General Information
The Innovation Vehicle Control department deals with future topics in the automotive sector. In this environment, we centrally manage our company's innovation processes and projects and provide insights and outlooks on new global trends and technologies. The department focuses on aspects of future E/E vehicle architectures, software development processes and methodologies.
A basic requirement for a thesis at Schaeffler is proof of enrollment at the time of the thesis. This position is available from February 1, 2026 for a duration of 6 months.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Data exploration and engineering for optimal model training
- AI model development and training for vehicle control components
- Model optimization for limited edge capabilities
- AI agent development for vehicle control components
Your Qualifications
- Studies in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Computational Science or a comparable field of study
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good command of the German language is desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially in Excel
- Experience with AI training and model development
- Experience with Python
- Fundamental experience with C++
- Familiarity with Linux is desirable
- Knowledge of software and standards in the automotive sector is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Quick comprehension, proactive, creative and eager to learn
