Quality Inspector

Bureau Veritas are excited to say that we have an opportunity for x2 Quality Inspectors to supports us on an Offshore Wind Farm project. The role will be working in Cuxhaven on a residential basis, working Monday - Friday for 12 Months.

About the Role

The Quality Inspectors are responsible for performing inspections and quality checks on offshore wind components during the pre-assembly phase. The Inspector ensures that all components meet the required specifications, standards, and safety requirements prior to assembly and delivery to the offshore site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of offshore wind turbine components (e.g., towers, blades, nacelles) during the pre-assembly phase.
• Verify that components meet project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results accurately, including measurements, photos, and non-conformance records.
• Report any defects or deviations to the Inspection Team Leader and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Collaborate with quality, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure smooth handover of inspected components.
• Adhere to all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, or quality inspection fields.
• Experience in inspection or quality control within the offshore wind, renewable energy, or heavy industry sectors.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques, quality standards (e.g., ISO, IEC), and documentation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
