About the job

HelloFresh Group is looking for a powerhouse Lead Copywriter to join our Creative Studio. You'll bring high-level brand thinking and sharp execution to our creative assets, and you'll play a role in shaping the voice of our global brands while driving performance across multiple channels.

The role is ideal for a seasoned agency creative looking to move in-house without sacrificing creativity or collaboration. You'll interpret briefs, pitch ideas, write attention-grabbing copy, and help lead a team of talented local and global writers.

This position is based in Berlin, with mandatory minimum office attendance three days per week, working in our studio in Moabit.

What you'll do

• Write compelling, on-brand copy for multiple touchpoints and channels, especially TV, OOH, paid social, YouTube, display, and CRM. 
• Ideate and conceptualize smart, original campaign ideas based on strategic and creative briefs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure creative alignment and guarantee effective outcomes.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to writers across local and global teams.
• Uphold and evolve our tone of voice and messaging guidelines.
• Use generative AI technology for ideation, creation, iteration and integration into our marketing ecosystem. 
• Work with designers, videographers, photographers, and motion designers to bring creative ideas to life.
• Rigorously proofread copy, ensuring there are zero typos or grammatical errors.
• Manage content via Google Suite and Jira so that it flows smoothly to stakeholders and translators.

Who we are looking for

• A full-time, Berlin-based copywriter. (HelloFresh Group provides relocation assistance if the successful candidate is not based in Berlin).
• BS/MS from a top-tier university in Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing or another related field of study.
• 8+ years of experience in copywriting or communications, preferably at a top-tier agency.
• A proven track record of writing high-impact, English-language copy across major marketing channels, especially TV, OOH, paid social, YouTube, display, and CRM.
• A strategic thinker who sees the big picture, but also masters the line-by-line details.
• Experience integrating artificial intelligence tools into creative processes, especially engineering prompts to create and iterate content based on briefs, as well as finding efficiencies in the customization and localization of copy for complex audience requirements.
• Experience developing marketing campaigns from brief to ideation to rollout.
• Comfortable working within brand and tone guidelines, but knowing when to push the boundaries.
• Ability to write for multiple projects, markets, languages, and brands simultaneously, changing tone and tactics as needed.
• A curiosity about our audiences, and the ability to interpret performance data to refine copy.
• Experience working for food or tech brands is a plus.
• Experience with the localization processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of German, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or Dutch  is a plus.
