JOB SUMMARY

Join Standard Chartered Bank AG's ESG Risk Controlling Team and gain hands-on experience in one of the most dynamic areas of modern finance — Sustainability and ESG Risk Management. As a Working Student, you will play an important role in supporting our risk control processes, helping ensure compliance with global ESG standards, and contributing to the Bank's commitment to responsible and sustainable banking.

This is an exciting opportunity for motivated students eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world financial environment and develop professional skills in ESG risk, reporting, and regulatory management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the ESG Risk Controlling team in executing administrative and analytical processes with accuracy and diligence.
• Assist in the preparation of ESG risk-related reports and support process optimization initiatives.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, assess risks, and improve reporting quality.
• Support regulatory gap analyses, product governance reviews, and documentation of risk processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in stakeholder meetings and calls.
• Provide ad-hoc support on ESG risk projects and operational initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ESG Risk Type Framework, and relevant policies and standards.
• Uphold the Bank's Values and Code of Conduct, promoting the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

SKILLS

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business-related field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Sustainability Management).
• Basic understanding of banking operations, financial products, and risk management principles.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, or SQL) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and geographies.
• Genuine interest in ESG and sustainability topics.
