Our partner, a pioneer in satellite manufacturing and space systems development are currently recruiting for a RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) Engineer to join them on a long-term contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of system architectures for space missions, including redundancy concepts and reliability trade-offs.
  • Identify functional weaknesses and single point failures in spacecraft and subsystem designs.
  • Perform qualitative reliability analyses such as FMECA, Common Cause Analysis, Hardware/Software Interaction Analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Conduct quantitative reliability assessments including Reliability Apportionment and Prediction (Parts Count / Parts Stress methods) and Availability Analysis.
  • Develop Safety and Hazard Analyses, and prepare comprehensive Safety Data Packages.
  • Review RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) documentation from suppliers and verify implementation of recommended control measures.
  • Coordinate RAMS related activities with internal engineering teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure system integrity and compliance.
  • Provide regular progress reports and documentation updates.
  • Ensure all analyses and deliverables adhere to relevant ECSS standards, including ECSS-Q-ST-30 and ECSS-Q-ST-40.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience and knowledge working with Space related RAMS standards (ECSS-Q Series).
  • Proven experience working with RAMS analysis tools.
  • A degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and teams.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

This position is an onsite long-term contract based in Bremen, Germany.
